Liqui Moly Gear Oil Additive (20g) – MoS2 Wear Protection for Manual Transmissions
Liqui Moly Gear Oil Additive is a high-performance concentrated additive containing MoS2 (Molybdenum Disulfide) specifically designed for manual transmissions, differential gears, and mechanical steering systems. The MoS2 forms a high-load lubricant film on all friction and sliding surfaces, significantly reducing friction and wear.
This additive ensures smoother gear shifting, quieter operation, and reduces temperature peaks under high thermal loads. By smoothing out tooth faces, it improves the overall operational reliability and provides outstanding emergency-running properties in case of oil loss.

Application & Usage
- Compatibility: Compatible with all commercially available motor oils.
- How to Use: Add the contents (300ml) to the engine oil when the engine is warm.
- Dosage: 300ml is sufficient for up to 4–6 liters of engine oil.
Note: For best results, add at every oil change or when oil consumption is high. Not suitable for motorcycles with wet clutches.
Usage Instructions
- Application: Add directly to the gear oil. Mixing happens automatically during vehicle operation.
- Dosage: One 20g tube is sufficient for 1 liter of gear oil. (For larger gearboxes, use 50g for 2.5 liters).
Compatibility: Ideal for manual and differential transmissions and axle drives without integrated wet differential locks.
Safety Note
Not suitable for Automatic Transmissions (ATF) or motorcycles with wet clutches.
